We are pleased to share that Honorable Care has achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification.

Cyber Essentials Plus is the higher tier of the UK government-backed Cyber Essentials scheme. Unlike the standard Cyber Essentials certification, which is completed through a self-assessment questionnaire, Cyber Essentials Plus requires an independent technical assessment carried out by an accredited assessor. Our assessor visited us, tested our systems against real-world cyber attack scenarios, and confirmed that our technical controls meet the required standard.

Cyber Essentials Plus Certificate of Assurance — Honorable Care Ltd — Certificate No: 6dddbe79-50c9-4e89-9525-da015acb84e0

Our certification was awarded on 6 May 2026 by Citation Cyber, formerly known as Mitigate, an IASME-accredited certification body. The certificate number is 6dddbe79-50c9-4e89-9525-da015acb84e0 and covers the whole organisation. Recertification is due in May 2027.

Why this matters for our clients and families

As a care provider, we hold sensitive personal information about the people we support, including health records, medication details, care plans, and contact information for families. Protecting that information is not a technical box to tick. It is a fundamental part of our duty of care.

Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus certification means that an independent assessor has physically tested our systems and verified that our technical defences work in practice. This gives our clients, their families, and referring professionals strong confidence that their information is handled securely, to a verified standard rather than a self-declared one.

Part of a wider commitment

Cyber Essentials Plus sits alongside our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management certification and our NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) compliance. Together these demonstrate our commitment to running Honorable Care to a professional standard in every area of the business, not just the care itself.

We are a small provider, but we believe that small does not mean informal. The families who trust us with the care of a parent or partner deserve to know that every aspect of how we operate is taken seriously.

What is next

We will continue to review and strengthen our data security practices as technology and guidance evolve. Recertification is scheduled for May 2027.
