Fast-response care when you need it most

Emergency Care

When circumstances change suddenly, we can move quickly. Same-day starts are available in many cases, and our 24-hour line is always open.

When we can help

Sometimes care cannot wait.

Emergency home care is short-notice support put in place when circumstances change suddenly, after a fall, a hospital discharge, or when a family carer can no longer cope. Same-day starts are available in many cases, our 24-hour line is always open, and we will be honest with you about what we can and cannot do at speed.

Families contact us in all sorts of urgent situations. What they have in common is that things have changed and they need someone reliable in place quickly. We understand that, and we respond accordingly.

Hospital discharge

Your loved one is being discharged from hospital sooner than expected. The ward needs a care package confirmed before they can go home. We can assess quickly and often begin care the same day as discharge.

Current carer unavailable

Your existing carer has had to stop suddenly, whether through illness, resignation or other circumstances. We can step in and provide cover while a longer-term arrangement is made.

Sudden change in condition

A fall, a health episode or a rapid decline in condition means that the level of care needed has increased overnight. We can respond to that.

Crisis or family emergency

The family member who has been the main carer is suddenly unavailable. Whether through illness, bereavement or any other reason, we can provide emergency cover.

Respite for family carers

Family carers need breaks too. If you need to step away for a few days, we can step in so that your loved one is not left without support.

Straight answers

How quickly can care start?

Often within days, and in urgent situations the same day. Most families have care in place within 24 to 48 hours of their first assessment. Call our 24-hour line on 07944 200990, tell us what has happened, and we will tell you honestly what we can put in place and when.

A note on honesty

We will always tell you honestly what we can and cannot do in any given timeframe. If we cannot meet your exact needs today, we will say so and help you find who can. We would rather be straight with you than overpromise and underdeliver.
